GS Yuasa Lithium Power announces a Cooperative Research And Development Agreement (CRADA) with the U.S. Army TARDEC.

Alpharetta, GA- November 7, 2007 - GS Yuasa Lithium Power (GYLP) today announced a Cooperative Research And Development Agreement with TARDEC for the evaluation of Li ion technology for use in the next generation ground vehicles.
GYLP is providing Li ion cells for evaluation by TARDEC in an effort to meet the power requirements for future hybrid electric vehicle platforms for the Army.  The GS Yuasa Li ion Technology is expected to demonstrate performance among the highest safety characteristics of Lithium ion chemistry providing high energy and power density.
TARDEC develops and integrates the right technology solutions to improve the effectiveness of the current force and realize the superior capability of the future force in order to facilitate Army transformation.
